I have been a member of the Justice Select Committee since November 2007. The committee scrutinises the work of the Department for Justice and the Secretary of State for Justice.
Since I have been on the committee we have undertaken enquiries into restorative justice, devolution ten years on, the role of the prison officer, and the work of the Crown Prosecution Service.
