Photo of Alun Michael and his teamAs a Member of Parliament I try to help those constituents who seek their assistance to the best of my ability. Since my election in 1987, I have got personally involved in the problems of thousands of constituents, and engaged in constructive debate with many who have expressed their views to me. I have also represented the views and needs of individual constituents, and the constituency as a whole, to Parliament.

If you are a constituent, my staff in Cardiff and at Westminster help me to deal with your letters. I also work closely with Lorraine Barrett, Assembly Member for Cardiff South and Penarth, and our local councillors, to provide the best representation for the constituency.

Am I your MP?

There is a strict Parliamentary convention that an MP does not interfere in cases of people living outside of his or her constituency, so please check whether I am your MP by clicking here.
